Prayer Guide

Below is a prayer guide (that was printed in the March FPCA Newsletter) highlighting some prayer points for the Belize Mission Trip. Use this to guide your prayer time while the team is in Belize.

Everyday

Scripture: Eph. 3:20-21

Pray for God to be glorified through our thoughts, words, actions and reactions as we SEEK HIM on this trip; Pray that God would use our efforts to bless the students and staff of YES, as well as all others we meet

Sat, March 10

Scripture: Phil 2:1-4

Safety in travel, group unity to be formed, pray that each person would focus on God and not on themselves

Sun, March 11

Scripture: John 4:21-24

Pray that we are able to lose ourselves in worship, coming to the end of ourselves and finding nothing but Jesus. May He be glorified in our lives today

Monday, March 12

Scriptures: Philippians: 2: 5-7
Romans 12:3

Pray that we serve with good attitudes (in humility) as we work, that we would truly learn what selfless service is like, pray that we might know Jesus Christ more because of this experiences

Tuesday, March 13

Scriptures: Eph 1:17-18
1 Thess. 2:8

Pray that our minds and our hearts would be open to God’s Spirit, that we would be
living examples of God’s love and strength to the people of Belize and the students of YES

Wed, March 14

Scriptures: Psalm 150
2 Cor. 8: 2-6

Pray that we would learn from the people of Belize, from their love, their pain, their suffering, their joy, and their faith; pray that we would serve compassionately and lovingly

Thur, March 15

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 8:11

Pray for group unity again as we reach the halfway point, that everyone would get along and love each other as Christ loves; pray for endurance and good health

Fri, March 16

Scriptures: Isaiah 40: 29-31
Colossians 1:28-29

Pray for a renewed strength from God as we work, that we would depend on Him for our energy; pray for opportunities to interact with the people of Belize that we can understand their joys and hardship

Sat, March 17

Scripture: Ephesians 3:14-19

Pray that we would leave changed by God not just through the experience but that we would desire to know Him more after this
week of serving; pray for our safety as we travel home.

Sun, March 18

Scripture: 1 Peter 2:2-3

Pray that we wouldn’t have a “mountaintop" experience, but that we would truly be changed more into the image of Jesus
